Raised Floor Tile Cable Grommets

Most data center sites have lots and lots of uncovered cable openings that leak lots and lots of air. This leakage reduces the static pressure of the under-floor cool air delivery.

Installing more cooling capacity won't necessarily solve the problem! The problem isn't always a lack of cooling capacity but improper cold air delivery. In order to get cold air to go where you want it, you have to stop it from going where you don't want it to go.

That's where the Raised Floor Tile Grommet comes in. The grommet prevents airflow bypass by closing off cable cutouts - even when cables are passing through them! The result is increased static pressure in the under-floor plenum and more cold air getting to where you want it to go.

Great ROI because they can pay for themselves in less than a year by reducing your air conditioning load or by mitigating the need for additional cooling capacity!

Features

  • Allows easy pass-through of power plug connectors and large cable bundles of up to 4” x 8”
  • Large usable opening combined with very effective sealing allows it to fulfill most cable cutout requirements
  • Two can be installed in a single floor tile Increase under-floor static pressure
